Blind Sport New Zealand Incorporated is New Zealand’s National Disability Sport Organisation for blind, deafblind and low vision sport and physical recreation. We are charged with leading sport and recreation opportunity and driving participation in blind and low vision sport throughout New Zealand.

Dan started at Blind Sport New Zealand in September 2013 from Tennis New Zealand, where he was Major Events and Operations Manager, and as National Manager leads the delivery of the BSNZ strategic plan and operations for the organisation. An experienced sports administrator and a member of the blindness community, Dan brings lived experience to his role at Blind Sport New Zealand, working with a philosophy that 'the opportunity to engage and participate in sport is the right of every New Zealander. Dan is passionate about making a difference in the blind and low vision community and getting the blindness community active.
Growing up in Wellington, Casey was passionate about sport from a young age and took every opportunity to play, coach and volunteer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Sport and Recreation from AUT University in 2017 majoring in management and sports management. During that time, she completed a co-operative placement at Paralympics New Zealand which ignited her interest in Para and disability sport. Since then, Casey has worked at both Parafed Auckland and the Blind Foundation and joins the Blind Sport New Zealand Team in her role as Operations Manager. Her work is focused on the growth and development of blind and low vision sport which includes organising the BSNZ Sport Awards, Eye on the Ball Blind and Low Vision Sport Leaders Conference and the Blind Sport New Zealand children’s programme.
