We can help plan a sport session, give advice, and use the kit for bespoke training.

How do I book the kit?

Book online at https://www.sporty.co.nz/blindsportnz/equipment/book-our-accessible-sport-kit 

You’ll receive a confirmation email with pick-up/drop-off details.

How long can I borrow it and can I extend my booking?

Our standard booking period is 2 weeks, but we can be flexible based on your needs and availability. Let us know your ideal dates in the booking form.

Where and when do I collect/return the kit?

Location of the kit varies by region. It is typically at a Blind Low Vision Office, ParaFed office, or BLENNZ resource centre. You will be linked in with the relevant person to arrange pick up during office hours. In some special cases, we could assist with delivery.

What’s included in the kit?

There is equipment for 6 team sports and various activities: goalballs, audible balls, cricket gear, tennis racquets, blackout shades, running tethers, knee pads, whistle, ball pump, floor markers, and a first aid kit—all in a large wheelie bag.

Is there a cost to borrow the kit?

It’s currently free to borrow a kit. Donations are welcome to help maintain and grow the program.

What if something gets lost or damaged?

You will be provided with a checklist and asked to audit the kit at the end of your booking. Notify staff when returning the kit if you find that any items are damaged or missing. You may need to cover replacement costs.

Can we borrow the kit even if no one has a vision impairment?

Yes! It’s ideal for learning about adapted sport in any setting.

Can I access the instruction manual digitally?
